We're saddened to announce the passing away of John F. Mallow on May 10, 2022.
John, "Johnnie" as he was loving called by his family, was the oldest son of John and Rita Mallow, born August 27, 1939. He was the first grandchild of Fred and Margaret Farmer. He joined the military when he graduated high school. He lived in various places around the country finally settling in Ridgecrest CA. He is survived by his wife, Robin and his siblings, Linda McKinney, Wally Mallow and Mike Mallow.

7/28/22 - Justin Farmer
Just wanted to let you all know that Justin "Jud" Farmer passed away this morning. Jud was 94 years old. He was the 4th child and youngest son of Fred & Margaret (Grand) Farmer.
He spent much of his later years writing books and teaching about Indian basketry. He liked to say that he "was the only Indian in his family". He had wonderful sense of humor.
Please keep his family in your prayers.

It is with great sadness that we must inform you that Ricky Stewart (58) passed away at about 3:30 pm today, 7/14/21. He had fought a long battle with congestive heart failure.
Ricky Wayne Stewart was the eldest child of Jerry Stewart and the brother of Launi DiMaggio. We're so sorry for your loss.

Just wanted to let you know that Warner Stewart passed away last week at 85 years old. A celebration of his life will be held at Warner and Marge's old place in Murrieta on Saturday, 8/29/20 from 12 - 3 pm.
Our sympathy and prayers go out to his family.
Warner L. Stewart passed away August 8, 2020. He was the eldest son of Hilbert and Dorothy Stewart & the grandson of Della (Grand) Stewart and William R. Stewart. He was married to the love of his life, Marge (although he always affectionately called her "Maggie"), for 58 years.
He is survived by his wife Marge, sons Willie and Jimmy and their families, including 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brothers Jerry and Walt and his sister Rochelle (his sister Chyrle passed away in June of 2018)

Mary Sandra Grand Dahl (Sissy)
August 15, 1938 - May 8, 2020
Sissy was the granddaughter of August and Annie Grand. She was the second child of Freddie and Madeline Grand’s five children. She was a much loved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend.
After a long hospital stay due to several critical conditions, our brave Sissy passed away at home, her immediate family with her. It wasn’t easy getting her out of the hospital due to the COVID19 situation, but her wonderful son-in-law, Scott Connelly, managed to move the mountains it took to do it so they could all be together.
Even though she had severe health challenges over the last 40 years, Sissy always had a warm and loving welcome for her family and friends. She was a person of great kindness, generosity, and acceptance of others as they are. She loved words, writing poetry, oil painting, food, get-togethers, music, and dancing (also Starbucks and The Property Brothers 😊).
Her quiet specialness and the open-hearted appreciation and support she gave to us all will be sorely missed.
Sissy’s children: Dean and Sue Dahl of Escondido, Kerri and David Boardman of Colorado, and Denise and Scott Connelly of Oceanside.
Sissy’s siblings: Eleanor Grand Bowen (Nita), Julie Grand Biesty, Candace Grand Stanner, Frederick Grand

It saddens me to write this but I was asked to let you all know that Alma (Farmer) Opperman is in the final stage of life. She's at an assisted living facility in Lancaster, CA. Hospice is only giving her about 10 days to live. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.

It's with sympathy that we let you know that Madeline Grand passed away last Saturday, 6/1/2019. She was the wife of Fred Grand (the son of August Grand) and she had turned 100 years old last fall.
Her family would like to invite you to a celebration of her life next Saturday, 6/8/19, at the Julian Town Hall at 12:30 pm. There will be a small graveside service for the family at 11:00 am.

The memorial service for Vanona Jones will be held Saturday, August 11th They are having a mass at 9:00 AM at Saint Elizabeth's Catholic Church in Julian. A celebration of life will follow the mass at Vanona's house.

Funeral Service
A funeral service will be held for Jim Sackett on Saturday, October 31, 2015, at 9:00 am. It will be held near the Stewart Ranch at a private cemetery. It's located at the round potrero on the way to the ranch - before you get to the iron gate. After the service, proceed to the ranch for a catered lunch.
Our prayers and condolences go out for his wife, Polena, and their 4 children. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Warner & Marge Stewart's house and 2 out buildings were consumed by a fire. They need photos of them for the insurance company. Elwin Steidl, husband of Glendine Bailey Steidl, of Lakeside, California, passed away September 29, 2014, due to complications from Alzheimer's disease. He was 83 years old.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at 10:00 am, at Shadow Mountain Community Church,
2100 Greenfield Drive, El Cajon, CA 92021. All are welcome to attend the service as it would be a great comfort to his family.

Albert Linton, husband of Inan Grand Linton, of Escondido, California, passed away June 7, 2014. The funeral and burial were at the Santa Isabel Mission on June 14, 2014, over 400 people were in attendance. Our condolences and prayers go out to his family: Inan, Allison, Ben, and Jenna. Farewell to a wonderful, loving husband and father; a man who set the example for others to follow.
